CO-FOUNDER AND HEAD CHEF

A Le Cordon Bleu-certified Pastry Chef, Sara Alkoheji’s appetite for cooking started at a very young age with kitchen experimentations and a homemade recipe book. After achieving an LLB from Kent University, Sara went on to receive her qualification as a Pastry Chef from one of the world’s most prestigious culinary schools. Sara returned to Bahrain and joined a firm as a lawyer, however, her her love and passion for the culinary arts remained strong. With her devotion to cooking and love of teaching, Sara decided to follow her dreams in pursuing a career as a pastry chef. She started The Cooking Studio with her mother in September 2017 and enjoys sharing her impressive knowledge and skills with all her students.

CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Najat Alkooheji has an accomplished track record in academics and administration. After receiving her Bachelors in Psychology from Kuwait University, Najat began her highly successful academic career as an English teacher and eventually moved on to become a School Guidance Counselor for several years. Her achievements, commitment and compassion saw her fast become a School Principal for primary schools. Like mother, like daughter, Najat has harboured a lifelong love for cooking – one that has seen her instill in her children a passion for food and fine cuisines, and which she was not able to neglect even after retirement. Najat partnered with her daughter Sara to establish The Cooking Studio, wherein she utilises her knowledge in cooking to perfect recipes with Sara as well as her decades-long experience in management and administration to help run the show behind the scenes.
